Many things have been made easier by the touchscreen smartphone, like navigation and fun games. But when smartphone users need to write something longer than a tweet, it can be difficult. Without a keyboard and mouse, drafting that email to your boss might take longer than you'd like.

As it turns out, a feature to quickly edit text on the iPhone has existed for a while. Simply tap and hold on the screen for a magnifying glass to appear and move it around the text as you please. For iPhones with 3-D touch, there is a hidden trackpad. Press and hold on the keyboard. The letters should disappear, and from there, you can slide your finger around and watch the cursor follow.
