You can also set a timer for messages to expire.

Whether you're worried about the privacy of your data or just want to keep conversations away from prying eyes, encrypting messages can be a good solution.

Facebook has recently debuted a new feature in its messenger app to do just that, called "secret conversation." Only you and the recipient can read your messages.

Tap on the name of the person you're chatting with and select "secret conversation" from the options that come up. From there, you can set a timer for the conversation to expire after a certain amount of time. Users can also delete conversations manually.
